TECH TIP (1)From time to time I will be posting Helpful Tech Tips To Make Life Easier, a new section of the blog. My intent is to pass along little tips & hacks to my author friends that I’ve stumbled upon that will make their jobs less stressful, but many of the tips will apply to everyone. I hope you will find this new feature useful!

I want to start this section off with a DOOZIE! This tip has saved me hours of frustration and hair-pulling—and as much as I would love to take credit for it—that honor goes to my daughter. So how many times have you worked and slaved over an image on your website only to have it look pixelated? I can’t count the times. It didn’t matter how many times I put it through PhotoShop and changed the resolution. The results always remained the same—pixelation.

You are not going to believe how simple and easy it is to fix this problem. If you have Office loaded up on your computer, open up a blank PowerPoint slide. Now all you need to do  is insert the graphic that is giving you problems onto the slide. Make sure the image is selected,  and then right-click your mouse button and scroll down to Save As Picture—and click.  When the Save As Picture box pops up type in your file name, keep it on the .jpeg setting, and click the save button.

Go ahead, I’ll wait…..  (hums theme song to jeopardy)

Now try uploading it onto your website. Magically, the problem should have resolved itself. I can’t explain why, I just know it does. No more pixelated graphics, no more hair pulling, and you don’t have to worry about your children overhearing words that shouldn’t be said!

This concludes today’s Helpful Tech Tips to Make Life Easier. I’ll see you next time!

Wishing you all the best.
